Words to consider

Digby has this great post that compares gop words and actions, you've all probably read it, or you should, but I think you need to ask your congresspeople about it, especially if they're republicans. I think I'll send a letter to presidential wannabe Duncan Hunter and ask him what he thinks about it, he's a veteran, does he see any incongruity in the issue?

And maybe I'll ask him about the healthcare treatment of our Iraq war veterans, see what he says about that. The two issues are somewhat bound to each other. If I get a response, I'll let you all know!

Gosh, I'm so lucky to have Jay Inslee. I've gotten emails from Howard Dean, Kerry, even Feingold all asking for money, and from Inslee, I got a reminder that I can get money back on my income tax by calculating the state taxes and he linked to the forms. No money-grubbing, just good representin' the folks. What a great rep!

Pretty much! It's been what, a month and a half and we're all busily attacking Democrats running for President for one reason or another.

If we had a strong leader that was generally respected, maybe we could stop it, or maybe if we all just keep reminding people what they're doing, maybe we can get a grip before we cause too much damage to the fight we're fighting.

Maybe we need a pronouncement from "Leader Kos" to remind people what they're doing!

I was at a Charger game the season before, and a bee swarm had landed on the net the kickers use to warm up, and at one point, I kid you not, 4 security/usher types were surrounding it, each one pointing a can of raid or whatever at the swarm. At the last second somebody realized what they were about to do, and they tried some other murderous tactic; but for a second there I thought, there stands the Democratic Party, four score and divided, righteous in their anger and their cause, and totally blind to the oblivion they shall soon reap for themselves.

Perfect analogy! How funny!

I dunno, kos sometimes fans the flames with intemperate remarks - as a friend who's more on the inside at kos said the other day - "kos is a great trailblazer, but a lousy leader." I've seen him on interviews, and he's fantastic on tv, though. I'm not sure how to counteract the insanity, either. The more you call them on it, the crazier the crazies get. Many seem to think that because they can write on a blog, they have a right to be heard, and what's more, the Dems are evil if they don't listen and follow bloggers' advice. Freakin' humans and their bubble universes!
